Unreleased music from Beyoncé stolen from choreographer’s SUV, police say – NBC New York

Hard drives containing unreleased music from Beyoncé were stolen from her choreographer’s rental vehicle in Atlanta, police said Monday.

The alleged theft occurred on the night of July 8 at a parking area east of downtown Atlanta, an incident report from the city’s police department shows.

The choreographer, Christopher Grant, told authorities that the trunk window on his Jeep Wagoneer had been damaged and two suitcases and hard drives with the unreleased music were gone, according to the report.

The hard drives also contained watermarked music, footage plans for a show and past and future set lists, the report states.

Representatives for Beyoncé, who is playing her fourth and final show in Atlanta on Monday, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Grant told police he was with a dancer for Beyoncé at the time of the theft, according to the report.

Authorities tracked a laptop from the SUV, the report says, and they collected fingerprints from a vehicle that was moving with a pair of AirPods allegedly taken from the Jeep.

Cameras at the parking area’s entrance captured the incident, the report states.

In a news release, the police department said its larceny unit obtained an arrest warrant for a suspect who has not been taken into custody.

The release did not identify the person.
