Realme has launched a new budget phone in India packing a large 7,000mAh battery. Called the Realme C83 5G, it is the latest addition to the company’s C-series lineup.
The phone sports a 6.8-inch IPS LCD display that offers an HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The panel also delivers up to 900 nits of peak brightness and a maximum touch sampling rate of 180Hz.
It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, which is paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. The phone also features a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 2TB.
At the back, the Realme C83 5G has a 13MP single camera with an f/2.2 aperture and an LED flash. For selfies, the phone offers a 5MP camera.
One of the highlights of the phone is the large 7,000mAh battery. It supports 15W wired charging and weighs 212g while being 8.4mm thick. The handset runs Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0 out of the box.
The phone gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a single speaker, an IP64 rating, and also meets the MIL-STD 810H standards for durability. It offers dual-SIM support, 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band Wi-Fi, and GPS.
The Realme C83 5G is available in Blooming Purple and Sprouting Green color options. It starts at INR 13,499 ($145) for the 4GB/64GB variant, whereas the 4GB/128GB option is INR 14,499 ($160). There’s also a 6GB/128GB model available, which is priced at INR 17,499 ($190).
