Introducing our new section, The Weekender! Your guide to going out in South Florida – Sun Sentinel
In case you missed it, South Florida is having a cultural moment, as a unique energy radiates through new restaurants and bars (already packed), favorite clubs and arts institutions (calendars full again).
The most tangible evidence of this phenomenon can be found in today’s edition of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, which includes the debut of a new section called The Weekender, an every-Thursday guide to getting out and about in South Florida.
The Weekender was created in response to queries from readers, advertisers and cultural organizations who wanted a one-stop spot in the newspaper that would help residents (many of them newly arrived) and visitors organize all that South Florida has to offer.
Today’s section will show you how to enjoy the return of Fort Lauderdale’s nationally ranked Day of the Dead festivities on Saturday, the inaugural Sunset Tequila & Mezcal Fest in Boca Raton, the Taste of Recovery chef competition in Delray Beach, and the 10-day Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival.
Why does the director of “Elián” at the Colony Theatre call it “the most important play we’ve ever presented”? What’s the ticket situation for Luke Bryan in West Palm Beach?
You’ll find answers in The Weekender. Check out the e-edition by clicking right here.
