On Tuesday, the group stage comes to a close in women’s hockey, as two undefeated teams look to rekindle their rivalry ahead of the quarterfinals: USA vs. Canada.
As the group stage in women’s hockey continues, the U.S. will take on Canada at 2:10 p.m. EST Tuesday. Team USA won its first three games in the competition, while Canada looks for their third victory after winning two straight.
America has led all teams in scoring, with 15 goals in the competition, as of Monday night. Canada has scored the third most goals in the competition with 9 goals thus far, sitting behind Sweden, the Group B leader, with 14 goals.
The neighboring countries have dominated the sport at the Olympic level, with USA winning gold twice, and Canada earning five. Despite Tuesday’s matchup being a group stage game, they have met in the final in every Winter Olympics except for one, when Sweden made the finals in 2006.
America looks to extend its winning streak over Canada, having won their last six games since the 2025 World Championship title.
