Greta Van Fleet postpones Hard Rock Live Hollywood concert

Citing concerns about singer Josh Kiszka’s ruptured eardrum, Grammy-winning rockers Greta Van Fleet have postponed their Tuesday, Oct. 25, concert at Hard Rock Live at Hollywood’s Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

The band said new dates would be announced and that tickets would be honored at the future concert. Point-of-purchase refunds will be available.

Greta Van Fleet’s Hard Rock Live concert had been a virtual sellout for months. The band’s tour stop at Tampa’s Amalie Arena on Wednesday, Oct. 26, also is postponed.

Kiszka ruptured his eardrum during a concert in Bangor, Maine, on Oct. 8. The injury was not sufficiently healed after a previously scheduled nine-day break from the tour, and last week the band postponed shows in Raleigh, N.C. (Oct. 18); Greenville, S.C. (Oct 19); and Jacksonville (Oct. 21).

In a note to fans on Instagram, Kiszka wrote: “I have just been advised it needs more time to fully heal than initially anticipated. I’m working closely with my team to ensure I get proper rest in order to finish out the year strong. … I’m gutted to have to do this and I cannot begin to express how much I appreciate the love and support you give us every night. It’s devastating to me to make this announcement, but know it’s imperative in order to keep performing.”

The next scheduled concert on Greta Van Fleet’s Dreams In Gold Tour is Friday, Oct. 28, in Charlotte, N.C., which has not been postponed so far. The tour, supporting the band’s sophomore album, “The Battle at Garden’s Gate,” is scheduled to wrap up Nov. 12 in Sacramento.
