#FloridaNaturalSprings Pure, sweet clear water! That’s what you get with Florida Natural Springs camping and swimming with manatees. Florida manatees flock to Crystal River every winter in cold weather so that’s where we headed to try to swim with the gentle creatures. We did do that but we also ended up swimming with Florida snakes too. Known as one of Florida’s best springs, Three Sisters Springs Florida was swarming with snakes instead of the manatees we were seeking. Snorkeling in Florida means you never know what you’ll get for sure. Our campsite for this trip was Ross Prairie Trailhead and Campground | FL where we hiked on the miles and miles of trails. We then drove our Winnebago Travato van to Manatee Springs State Park, camping there for 2 nights. No manatees or cell phone coverage but it was one of our best Florida destinations to have a good time in a relaxing almost perfect setting.
