Florida Heroes feeds families
There are heroes rising to the occasion across the nation and around the world. We’re not talking about celebrities, superstar athletes, or social media phenoms that command the attention because of the spotlight consistently being on them. We’re talking about everyday Americans who simply want to do their part to improve their communities and help during this crisis.
In this episode I focus My camera on a small group in North Miami, Florida that represent a larger army of heroes that volunteer to help get food out to various communities around the country. What surprises most people here is that many of those who are in the lines to get food were previously middle-class workers who suddenly found themselves out of work as a result of shutdowns due to the pandemic. That’s when our heroes have consistently bolted into action. And that’s what we’re showing in this small clip. The city of North Miami held a food giveaway that was also safe because people did not need to get out of their cars but simply needed to drive up, open their trunks., And allow the volunteers to load boxes of food into their cars. Then they can simply drive away.
2020 was an amazingly stressful year of crisis and challenges with sad story after sad story as a result of the pandemic.
