Blushington blends beauty, community and confidence in time for Mother’s Day

Female-founded and female-led, Blushington is a destination for beauty. They offer three high-demand services under one roof— blowouts, makeup applications and skincare services.
They strive to create an inclusive environment by making customers of all ages, skin tones and hair textures feel confident in themselves. Their Pro Artists are trained “The Blushington Way,” ensuring guests are offered the highest level of services possible.
Blushington began in 2011 as a boutique makeup lounge. “I walked into Blushington West Hollywood in 2014 as a customer, and it was love at first sight. Our Co-founders, Stephi Maron Cohen and Nicki Maron, created a first-of-its-kind oasis for express, personalized makeup services at accessible price points. In 2015, I joined Stephi and Nicki to expand the brand coast to coast,” said Natasha Cornstein, CEO of Blushington.
They are continuing to franchise with locations opening in Florida and Texas later this year, all sold to existing customers. Their goal for the upcoming years is to sell over 100 franchise units.
With Mother’s Day approaching on May 11, Blushington is hosting a Mother’s Day Activation. They are “an ode to what we have learned from our mothers- an appreciation of family and community, lifelong learning and bringing beauty to the world in many of its different forms- makeup, books and flowers.”
They started the activation with the debut of their Blushington lending library. Available to their team members and customers, they hosted a night with partners Zibby Owens, Author, Podcast Host and Publisher, and Meredith Waga Perez, Co-Founder of Belle Fleur. They had mini makeovers, champagne and a panel on entrepreneurship. All guests left with books, flowers and an invitation to return for a blowout.
On Mother’s Day, Blushington is celebrating with the creators and co-hosts of At Excuse My Grandma, a multi-generational podcast between a grandmother and a granddaughter. They will be supporting Bottomless Closet, an organization that helps disadvantaged women enter the workforce. Guests will enjoy mini Blushington makeovers, chocolates from MarieBelle, flowers from Belle Fleur and more.
“As a female-founded, female-led team that serves a multi-generational clientele, Mother’s Day has always been such a meaningful time of year. We get to pause, express our love and appreciation for our team and our customers. We also take this moment to celebrate the moms, grandmothers, sisters, friends and others that play such integral roles in our lives. Our hope is that when you leave Blushington, you will feel beautiful and confident and nurtured,” said Cornstein.
