Authvia integrates Visa Direct to offer real-time payments via TXT2PAY

Authvia, a firm that specialises in text-based payment innovation, has integrated Visa Direct, a real-time money movement platform, with its TXT2PAY solution.

The move aims to facilitate real-time disbursements in sectors such as healthcare, automotive services, insurance, and gig economy platforms through simple text messaging.

The collaboration allows businesses to issue real-time outbound payouts to eligible Visa debit cardholders in selected markets.

The system streamlines the process for refunds, insurance settlements, and other forms of payments.

Utilising Authvia’s patented messaging commerce platform, users can authenticate their identity, confirm transaction details, and receive funds instantly to their Visa cards, all within a familiar text message conversation.

Authvia CEO and founder Chris Brunner said: “Whether it’s sending a co-pay reimbursement to a patient, returning a deposit to a customer, or disbursing funds to a technician in the field, businesses need modern payout solutions that are fast, secure, and frictionless.

“Our collaboration with Visa Direct reinforces our commitment to eliminating payment delays and delivering next-generation experiences through messaging.”

Authvia, known for its conversational commerce platform, enables payments through various messaging channels without the need for dedicated applications.

TXT2PAY, Authvia’s flagship service, leverages tokenisation to ensure PCI-compliant transactions, aiming to reduce payment friction and improve both cash flow and customer satisfaction.

With a suite of over 250 integrations, APIs, and applications designed for merchants, Authvia’s technologies support Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs), Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), and merchants in growing their businesses while minimising operational expenses.

“Authvia integrates Visa Direct to offer real-time payments via TXT2PAY ” was originally created and published by Electronic Payments International, a GlobalData owned brand.
