Time Out Market is ready to roll.
World-renowned chef Masaharu Morimoto is bringing his innovative new culinary venture, Mori Mori, to the iconic Dumbo waterfront starting tomorrow.
The Dec. 17 opening will mark the global debut of Mori Mori, “Iron Chef” Morimoto’s first fast-casual hand roll concept, exclusively at the Market.
“I am so excited to introduce Mori Mori to Time Out Market in Brooklyn,” Morimoto said. “This new concept allows me to share the essence of Japanese cuisine and culture, featuring fresh, high-quality ingredients and vibrant flavors in a fun and approachable setting. I can’t wait for guests to enjoy the bold flavors we’ll be serving.”
Morimoto, renowned for his mastery of blending traditional Japanese techniques with global flavors, has long been at the forefront of culinary innovation. Known for his breakout role on “Iron Chef” and “Iron Chef America,” Morimoto has earned a James Beard Award nomination and penned several cookbooks during his celebrated career.
At Mori Mori, he plans to reimagines Japanese cuisine through a focus on hand rolls, inspired by Japan’s traditional standing sushi counters. The menu will feature a variety of hand rolls, including Morimoto’s creative twists like the Brooklyn Bridge Cheese Steak and Cheese Dog rolls, combining high-quality Japanese ingredients with flavors that nod to local favorites.
Time Out Market New York has become a destination for food enthusiasts since opening in 2019. Located at 55 Water Street in DUMBO, the market showcases almost two dozen unique food concepts and bars.
Last month, the mother-daughter duo behind Bay Ridge favorite Tanoreen brought their distinct Palestinian flavors and Middle Eastern influences to the Dumbo food hall.
Mori Mori will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
