A brand new luxury rental building on Roosevelt Island launched leasing this week. Designed by Handel Architects, Riverwalk Heights is the ninth and final building in the planned community of Riverwalk. The tower, located at 430 Main Street, features interiors by Studio DB and waterfront landscape design by Future Green. Apartments range from $3,085/month for studios to just over $6,850/month for two bedrooms.
Developed by Related Companies and Hudson Companies, Riverwalk Heights contains 357 apartments, with residences starting on the 11th floor through the 30th floor. On eight floors of the building, 104 housing units are set aside for employees of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
The building boasts an exceptional amenities suite, including a 5,000-square-foot rooftop terrace with panoramic skyline views, a resident’s lounge, reservable dining and screening rooms, a club room with a bar and billiards, a co-working space and conference room, and a virtual reality game room with a golf simulator.
Additional amenities feature landscaped terrace gardens and sundecks, al fresco dining and barbecue grills, a fitness center overlooking the East River, a basketball court, a yoga room, a children’s playroom, and a pet grooming area.
Riverwalk Heights is situated next to the in-the-works Commons East greenspace, which will offer active and passive uses, including small and large dog runs, picnic areas, and landscaped areas.
“Riverwalk Heights will complete the Roosevelt Island community by delivering thoughtfully designed residences with a curated suite of amenities for all family members to enjoy,” Frank Monterisi, executive vice president at Related, said. “This building is uniquely poised to offer an elevated lifestyle on the island framed by stunning views of the waterfront and iconic New York City skyline.”
Riverwalk Heights is the ninth and final building of Riverwalk, a community with 2,000 residences, retail, restaurants, and green space. The building marks the culmination of a more than 25-year effort by the developers to fulfill Roosevelt Island’s General Development Plan.
“Today’s milestone at Riverwalk Heights is a true culmination of over a quarter century effort to build a robust community on 19 formerly undeveloped acres in Roosevelt Island,” David Kramer, president of Hudson Companies, said.
“We look forward to welcoming residents to this transformative development which will soon offer residents unparalleled amenities and remarkable views of the city and river just steps away from the heart of Manhattan’s East Side. We are extremely grateful for our partners at Related, Memorial Sloan Kettering and RIOC, for making today’s leasing launch a reality.”
Move-ins are slated for late summer 2024.
