Anyma unleashes ‘Genesys II’ on Afterlife/Interscope Records : Dancing Astronaut
Out now via Afterlife/Interscope Records, Anyma has delivered the highly anticipated Genesys II album. A double-sided LP, Disc 1 includes seven new originals, while Disc 2 offers 11 remixes from both Genesys and Genesys II. Named Dancing Astronaut‘s ‘2022 Label of the Year,’ Afterlife has continued to flourish under it’s new partnership with Interscope. Continuing to explore the depths of technology, AI, and nature through melodic techno, Genesys II materializes a culmination of Anyma’s continued success as one of dance music’s most artistic innovators. 21 songs in total, Genesys II unleashes 17 new tracks that will grace Afterlife events, major festivals, and clubs around the world.
On Disc 1, Anyma welcomes Adam Sellouk, Karin Park, and PARISI as first-time Afterlife signees, while Argy, Chris Avantgarde, and Rebūke make their triumphant returns to Tale Of Us‘ esteemed record label. Genesys II’s second half boasts remixes led by a five-star ensemble, including Adriatique, Eric Prydz, and Massano, among others. While derivative works from Kevin de Vries and Cassian do well in capturing melodic techno’s baseline essence, Amelie Lens and Kobosil provide harder spun techno iterations of “Syren” and “Welcome To The Opera”.
